We arrived in Cabo on Saturday, 24 February. My daughter Cindy, and here husband Scott, would be spending the first week with us on the Marina at the Wyndham Tesoro.
Our first meal was at Solomon’s Landing, a tradition Pete and I have established over the years. They make the best margaritas.

What a great way to spend our first evening. The meal was excellent
The second night we had dinner at Los Barrels. Cindy didn’t care much for the margaritas, but stuck with either red or white wine. I switched to mineral water since my blood pressure went up, and I started experiencing difficulties.

The next morning Pete and I had breakfast at Captain Tony’s, and Cindy and Scott had their Timeshare Presentation breakfast. Breakfast at Captain Tony’s is always great. They make the best breakfast wraps, which we ordered.

The wraps are huge, and we always put half of them in our Tupperware and enjoy a great lunch later that day.
That evening Pete wanted to go to Crazy Lobster, but he was outvoted, and we went to Romeo & Juliet’s instead. We didn’t have a reservation, so we sat at the entrance for 20 or so minutes waiting for a table.

Pete ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna on a bed of risotto blacked with the ink from an octopus. It sounded gross to me, but he said it was excellent. While Scott searched the internet for some important fact, Pete does a photo bomb on Cindy.
Of course you can’t come to Cabo San Lucas and NOT go to Mama’s for breakfast. She has the world’s best French Toast. Behind Cindy’s head you can see two “musicians/singers”, who were VERY loud and VERY bad. Pete calls me a grumpyold man. I identify myself more as a man who knows the difference from a good performance and a bad performance. Besides, we came to breakfast for food and a little intelligent conversation. They were so loud and so far off key we couldn’t think!

Pete ordered the Eggs Benedict and Cindy and I both ordered the French Toast, mixed berries for hers and mango for mine.
Thursday was our day to do the whale watching dinner/sunset cruise. We booked it on the Eco Cat, a rather large catamaran that has been doing this same cruise (among others) for as long as we’ve been coming to Cabo San Lucas in 1995. My guess would be that the owners of the Eco Cat have paid for their boat several times over, and are enjoying a nice income from it now.

Pete said the margaritas were pretty good. Above is a nice shot of Scooby-Doo, and the Arch. The sea is very calm.
We saw three whales fairly close to the boat, and they all showed us their enormous tails as they sounded. All things considered it was a very nice trip, and the sunset was quite nice as well. I think Cindy and Scott had a great time, as did we.

Friday was a very laid back day, with lots of time by the pool, and some last minute shopping. Saturday morning we had a leisurely breakfast, and then shared a taxi, taking Cindy and Scott to the airport, but dropping us off at the Westin Club Regina for our second week in Cabo.
