Todos Glaciers

Calafayte - Todos Glaciers
Our first excursion was called
“Todos Glaciers” “All Glaciers”
which included a boat trip to 5 different glaciers!

It might be spring, but it’s still at the bottom
of the earth and damn cold!

They hauled a big piece of this blue ice onto the deck!

And what do you know, they chipped it into cubes and served it with whiskey, 10,000 year old glacier ice goes great with a whiskey and alfajoras (those cookie things which are a tradition in Argentina!)

This is the “Calafayte” berry bush, the origin of the name of the town.  They say if you eat the jam that is made from the berries, you will return again some day to Calafayte, of course mom and Aunt Hazel bought several for souvenirs.
