Ron’s grandson Jon went on a one week volunteer retreat with is church in a small town in Paraguay. He wanted to visit us afterwards and came to stay with us for a week, above is Jon in Paraguay before he came to visit us.

His first day here I took him to the Recoleta Cemetery
The next day was Plaza Dorego and the antique fair that is held every Sunday
Jon was looking for gifts to take back home
We walked down Defensa street to the Casa Rosada and the catholic church nearby
Walking down Florida street Jon saw a display and being a Star Wars fan wanted a photo.
One day I took Jon to my gym for a workout, the gym is in an old converted mansion, it’s pretty cool.

We visited a military museum which was really cool
One day we went to El Ateneo, a bookstore that is a converted theatre
Then a visit to Tigre and a delta river ride
It’s our winter and it was pretty chilly

This was called “Nuclear Mushroom” and looked like it was made out of mushrooms

Ron said he would Jon his famous carrot cake, it was TO DIE FOR!
Jon said he always feel rich in other countries, this is worth only $200 USA
We took Jon to “Teatriz” a nice fancy restaurant we like
